As If I Needed Any More Books
Today was a perfect example of why you should never give me a Barnes & Noble gift card.
I recently took stock of my personal library and found that I have 25-30 books that I have bought over the years but never read. Now I could make excuses about how most of those were Christmas or birthday gifts or that I haven’t been reading my books because I was reading so much for school, but realistically I just like buying books that I want to read.
Needless to say, I have enough books to keep me busy while I’m not working this Fall. Does that mean I didn’t buy three new books this afternoon (courtesy of a birthday gift card)? Of course not!
I also have a ton of books, many of which I've never read. While at Target this morning, I had to stop myself from buying a free-reading book because I just bought a bunch of books for school; if I let myself buy the extra book, it would just sit on my nightstand until the end of the semester!
@aftertherace: I've done the exact same thing! I've also gone through reading phase where I'll finish 3 books and then buy 6 books. Talk about 1 step forward and 2 steps back =_=
